Nestled in the heart of Methven, my stay at Southern Cross Lodge was a mixed bag of experiences. The serene 12-metre outdoor pool provided a refreshing escape, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the surrounding landscapes. The spa facilities, including a hot tub, offered moments of tranquility, perfect for soothing tired muscles. However, the room's size was a tad cramped, and the presence of hair in the sheets was off-putting.On a brighter note, the staff's warm hospitality shone through, especially in their efforts to accommodate guests' needs. The lounge area exuded a cozy charm, inviting relaxation and socialization. Despite the minor setbacks, the lodge's convenient location and decent breakfast spread added value to the overall stay.Southern Cross Lodge may not be flawless, but its spa services and tranquil environment do offer a relaxing retreat for those seeking a rejuvenating getaway amidst Methven's beauty.
